What project am I supporting?

By offsetting your carbon footprint on our flights, you will be supporting the Carbon, Water, and Indigenous Biodiversity Project , located in the state of Oaxaca. The project aims to mitigate the environmental impact caused by logging and restore areas with severe erosion or those affected by fires and pests. It also helps protect and prevent damage from fire, grazing, and illegal use of forest resources.

Carbon, Water, and Indigenous Biodiversity Project is an initiative that will allow the community to diversify its income while contributing to reducing carbon footprint.

Other benefits of this project:

Protection of various species of birds, orchids and other flowers, wild boars, white-tailed deer, and pumas, all dangerously threatened by deforestation.

Job creation for local people.

Supporting local communities to learn new skills.

Sustainable forest management with minimal impact on the ecosystem but with a broad contribution to social and economic development.

Terms and conditions

The compensation charge applies to each passenger and per flight for the whole booking.
The calculation of the Carbon Footprint compensation is based on the proportion of CO₂ emissions generated during the flight per passenger, per route and the travel distance.
Once this charge has been applied, funds will be assigned to the CO₂ compensation project immediately. Therefore, payments cannot be subject to refund under any concept and the issued certificate will remain valid.
The certificate is issued to the passenger as a voluntary compensation and it is part of a global certificate of Aeroenlaces Nacionales S. A. de C. V. issued by ANACONDA CARBON S. A. to cover emissions on its environmental responsibility program.
ANACONDA CARBON S.A. is solely responsible for the activities derived from the compensation project. Therefore, Aeroenlaces Nacionales, S. A. de C. V. must not be held liable for any breach of compliance by ANACONDA CARBON S. A.
